Carlos I. Roel PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS

Carlos grew up in Pasadena and is a Blair High School graduate. He comes to Evergreen with experience in providing emergency medical coverage and rehabilitation services to individuals ranging from kids and young adults in local primary and secondary schools to professional and elite athletes in domestic and international sports competitions. He completed the Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) residency in the Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center in Vallejo, California. During his training in the residency, Carlos worked with individuals suffering from neurological and/or multi-trauma conditions. Currently, he is on the medical support team locally as well as travels around the world providing services for:

  • USA Volleyball - Beach Teams
  • US Soccer Federation – Paralympic Team
  • US Fencing Association
  • Kreiswirth Sports Medicine/International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation
  • Verdugo/Glendale and San Gabriel Valley Fire and Police Departments.

When he isn't in the clinic or traveling the world, Carlos is at Western University of Health Sciences working in labs, primarily the anatomy cadaver lab, as adjunct faculty. He is also a member of the American Physical Therapist Association, and the National Athletic Trainers' Association. In his spare time Carlos enjoys traveling, experiencing different cultures, and being physically active.
